Hi there,
I have icons on my desktop which open folders located on my hard drive. Since the upgrade from 5.19 to 5.20.2, left click on the icon doesn't open the folder. I'm thus looking to go back to 5.19. Is it possible ? How could I do that ? Thanks |

Hello!
Instead of downgrading, which is a lot of work, why don't you just solve the problem with your desktop-icons? How did you create them? Are they part of a plasmoid or located in the ~/Desktop - folder? |

Hi!
Thanks for your message, I still try to fix this problem on my own and by asking questions on several forums but for now, I have absolutely no clue to go forward. These icons were created by opening a Dolphin window / dragging the icon of a folder on the desktop / choosing in the menu "add an icon". Before the upgrade to 5.20, a left click on the icon opened the designated folder in a new Dolphin window. After, it opens a pop-up which says (translated from French) "this will launch the software "name of the folder" and I click on continue, there is an error. A right click on the icon displays the file type as application/x-desktop and its location as "/home/philippe/.local/share/plasma_icons" The only possibility to use these icons which are mandatory for me is to right click on them and choose open with / Dolphin I have tried to create new icons but no success. If you have an idea, thanks! |

La même chose sous ArchLinux et 5.20.2.
As a workaround, you can use the quicklaunch-plasmoid («Lancement rapide») and place your icons in it. This will work. As I could not find a valid bug report, I have to do some research where to place it, as the icon-plasmoid only runs plasmoid.nativeInterface.run() which is part of org.kde.plasmoid. Update: It works in 5.20.80, so it already seems to be fixed. |
