I had used Neon for about a month in a virtual machine to make sure it suited my workflow.

Today, I decided to make the switch.

After installing it, all looked well. I started adding scripts and software all without problems until I came to Firefox. I succesfully installed Firefox but was unable to add addons. It did look like a network error (unable to connect with add-ons site). I did try changing a few settings in firefox and in the network connection (proxy, disable ipv6, etc.) to no avail.

I then thought the issue may have been with firefox and installed chromium. Strangely enough, I have a similar issue with chromium, here the error is that the download of the add-on is blocked.

Both firefox and chromium work as browsers without seeming issues.

What gives? I have no such issue with Neon installed in the virtual machine having a NAT network connection thru the host. I did re-check that.

Unfortunately I have limited time to further investigate besides being at a total loss as to what the issue is.

Any help is appreciated or I will have to stick to using my Debian, OpenBox, Awesome WM machine.
