I have a problem with Elisa crashing.. a lot.. I mean every single time I try to use it. I had to do a clean reinstall of Neon a few days ago. Since then Elisa crashes all the time. I can open it but as soon as I start to try to navigate around the program it just closes. I have tried to send a crash report. The crash report program tells me there is not enough debug information. It offers to install some debug tools, I click "yes" and... nothing happens. I have tried over and over. So, I'm stuck. I can't use the program and I can't file a bug report. I have only been using KDE for a few weeks and while I like it. It just seems buggy. I get random issues. This one I can reproduce every time, but can't report it It's very frustrating.

Hi, if you start it from a terminal console, do you get any error messages?

I've issues with Elisa crashing since upgrading to Fedora 33, initially it affected two different machines (desktop and laptop) but weirdly it now works OK on my laptop but still crashes on the desktop - both fully updated. Ultimately the only solution that worked for me was to downgrade Elisa to version 20.4.1 (fc32).
I raised a ticket here with backtrace: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1902337 |
