Sorry if this isn't the right place to post, haven't used these forums before. I posted this question on unix.stackexchange.com with no answers so far. https://unix.stackexchange.com/posts/623936/

Ever since updating to KDE 20.04, my bluetooth earphones have been refusing to connect.
Distributor ID: Neon
Description: KDE neon User Edition 5.20
Release: 20.04
Codename: focal

Although they are paired, when trying to connect, it says "Connection to the device failed", "Connection Failed: Resource temporarily unavailable", etc. Have tried many solutions across many online forums, and everything seems to not work. Some of the things I've tried (along with many reboots inbetween):

    - When trying to connect through bluetoothctl (as described in https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/258074), I still get the error: `Failed to connect: org.bluez.Error.Failed`.
    - Here is a dump of commands that I've run collected from various discussions online, still not working.
    Code: Select all
    sudo apt-get install --reinstall pulseaudio
    sudo apt-get install --reinstall pulseaudio-module-bluetooth
    pactl unload-module  module-bluetooth-discover
    pactl load-module  module-bluetooth-discover
    sudo service bluetooth restart
    sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth restart
    pulseaudio -k
    pulseaudio -v --start
    - My laptop is dual booted with Windows 10, so I've also tried disconnecting my bluetooth earphones from Windows and also my phone. However, it's worth noting that before the update, my earphones (Galaxy Buds+) paired fine between my phone and PC (linux/windows) and could switch between them very easily / smoothly.
    - Also I should add that I tried installing blueman, didn't help

Something else to note: The bluetooth earphones actually connected two times during the early stages of troubleshooting. Both times I could not figure out the reason why they connected, as it seemingly was random. Both times, when it connected, I tested it and audio worked as it did before I updated. I then disconnected them, and they would not connect successfully again. Haven't been able to connect them since.
