I just switched from Kubuntu to KDE Neon and the discover software center is bugging me out. When I search for anything, only snap variants of the app is showing. How do select Deb package of a particular app in discover rather than using a package manager like synaptic?

Hi, I have the same problem. (latest KDE Neon user edition)
In fact, I really don't understand how the search "engine" of Discover works. Each time I tried it has been ineffective, and I always end up searching with "apt search"
For instance today I searched for "musescore", and I get
1. the snap version
2. Audovia Classic (why ??)
3. the flatpak version
that's all, and the "Still searching" wheel constantly spinning for hours)

and "apt search musecore" tells me that there is a musescore3 package, which is what I was looking for in the first place.

To summarize, I think there are at least 3 questions to consider for developers (I'm happy to help)

1. why the focal package doesn't show up
2. why the ranking put Audovia Classic before the flatpak musescore
3. why the search wheel never stops spinning without showing more results
