Connection lost with UPS

Hi,
Recently I have been getting this notification when i boot my machine

"Broadcast message from root@NeonPC (somewhere) (Sun Dec 27 16:41:29 2020):
Warning communications lost with UPS"

any ideas what is causing this?

Your UPS is disconnected, or no longer detected? in any case, apcupsd , the software used for some UPS devices that was installed is what is sending the message.

I get this message when I have forgotten to plug my ups back in after hardware upgrades.

If the bootprocess is ready, the connection to your USV is already ok?

I havent plugged or unplugged anything it just has started popping up recently

You own a UPS right? If no, deinstall the software:

apt remove apcupsd --purge -y
