Since Update to 5.20.4 baloo did not find files any more if you have added CIFS/Sambashare to baloo. It works for a short time if i delet the whole index, but after some short time only a little icon is displayed in krunner or startmenu instead of search results.
If i search drectly in dolphin, i get nothing. Balooctl say to me everting is fine:
What can we do, all us files are on shared storages with CIFS/SAMBA. Best Regards |

I've the same problem since some days,
KDE-neon, up to date (Plasma 5.20.4). desktop-pc, local harddisk. Few search-results where shown, some not, but files exist. System-settings/filesearch: filesearch is set active filecontent is set active hidden files is set active Any Idea? |

Yes it is really bad. Search for local files works fine.

There are more problems with Baloo since that update. I use tags with some files:
--Sometimes baloo_file does NOT start after starting the computer, no tags of files are shown. 'balooctl enable' is necessary. --Sometimes baloo_file DOES start, but the tags of files are not shown. 'balooctl purge' and a restart of Dolphin fixes that. |

Also with the default settings, baloo works only once after delete the whole DB. After relogin, no working baloo anymore. Regardless of whether network drives are included or not.

When I use baloosearch's command in console the result is empty lines. Krunner also shows me the empty result and if I click on the empty result it gives an error.
It's like the data is in the DataBase but baloo shows it empty. |
