Black screen after update

Wed Jan 06, 2021 6:01 pm
Hello!

Few day ago I install Neon. Today I update the system to the 5.20.5 and have black screen after reboot.
The new 5.8 kernel not work for me and freeze system without text on screen. I load with 5.4 kernel in recovery mode.
I have the nvidia driver installed by ubuntu-driver nvidia:450 command. All work correctly with 5.4 kernel.

What should I do?

Thank you!.

Me too. I can see in the update's log:

Code: Select all
* dkms: running auto installation service for kernel 5.8.0-34-generic
Error!
Your kernel headers for kernel 5.8.0-34-generic cannot be found at
/lib/modules/5.8.0-34-generic/build or /lib/modules/5.8.0-34-generic/source.

I asked people with ubuntu and they didn't have this problem to update to the new kernel+nvidia drivers.

Are there any settings in Neon that break this update?
