CPU fan won't turn on

Mon Feb 08, 2021 4:16 pm
Hi,

I have recently installed KDE neon user edition on 3 exactly same laptops. Here are the specs:

None of them are turning on the cpu fan in any type of load. Core temperatures are ranging from 40 to over 100 degrees Celsius, but the fans are never activated. Everything is up to date and fans are functional on all 3 laptops, I've tested them from bios and they are also working when Arch Linux is installed directly on the machine.

Did anyone have the same problem or can help to solve it?

Kind regards,
Andrija

Did you install `tlp`, `tp_smapi` or similar as you did in arch?
