I wonder if someone can help with this problem.
https://imageshack.com/i/pot9UXTep My workspace is off center, with only about 1/4 of it is on show on the right hand side of my laptop screen. The remaining desktop is black and not responsive. That said windows can draw over the whole screen and seem to work correctly. I think this may have been triggered by a dual screen set up using a lenovo dock. Despite unplugging the dock every time I login or reboot the laptop, the same workspace problem recurs. My KDE neon system is up to date and I've tried uninstalling an reinstalling my nvidia drivers. I've tried deleting /home/xxxxx/.local/share/kscreen but the problem recurs. When I login with Wayland the problem disappears. Unfortunately Wayland seems quite buggy and various windows don't draw properly so not keen to use this long term. The problem seems similar to this post https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=254831but the proposed solution doesn't seem to apply to my system - I can't find kwinrulesrc Current set up is listed below Any help gratefully received - thanks Morph Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Operating System: KDE neon 5.21 KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.79.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.8.0-43-generic OS Type: 64-bit Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 12 × Intel® Core™ i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz Memory: 15.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: GeForce GTX 1650 with Max-Q Design/PCIe/SSE2 Nvidia Driver 460.39 |
