cant localize to sr_RS@latin

Wed Feb 24, 2021 2:39 pm
I'm trying to localize KDE plasma distributions to sr_RS @ latin. We do everything properly, but in the end I get Cyrillic. All other Linux based on Gnome, Xfce work properly and get a Latin localization

I tried 1000 variants and it didn't work. Plasma GUI is at odds with CLI. Nobody cares that localization doesn't work, officially Cyrillic is the official alphabet. Other environments have translation teams and everything works there.

Thanks for your reply. I looked at the link you provided, it is a long period and the problem is not solved. This problem exists in all languages that have @ below, I have personally tried Bosnian and Croatian. I don't understand that languages are inserted just to have as many of them as possible, and when they are tried, it doesn't work or there isn't even any translation. It surprises me that other linux environments do not have this problem, I have not tried but those who have tried say they do not have this problem.

Many contradictions in system setting Neon LTS Ubuntu 20.04 base, GUI setting, Figure 2. where Serbian? has only English

2 files set (localize) this picture 3 on panel
Base for Neon LTS is Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Code: Select all
sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

If everything is chosen (All) file locale.gen will generate everything without #

We have two commands that make a file locale.gen but which is not the same
sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales
sudo locale-gen

Code: Select all
plasmashell --version
plasmashell 5.21.2
??????
1 hour ago there was an update 160 files

Code: Select all
$ locale -a

Eh I set only (in file locale.gen deleted #) on sr_RS and write command sudo locale-gen ???
