KDE Neon 5.21 will not let me enter root gives Authentication failure . I know that the password is correct any help would be appreciated Thanks Geoff

Neon, being Ubuntu, does not use a root password.
The root account can be enabled, there are numerous how-tos on it, but is not normally recommended.

On the terminal, if you want a persistent sudo state, use

sudo su

Code: Select all


$ sudo su
[sudo] password for myaccount:
root@hp:/home/myaccount#
