Hi all, first post here.
I recently installed Neon on my old notebook, a Sony Vaio VGN-CS320J. It's my main operating system, along with an installation of Haiku on another partition. I add the menu entry for Haiku in grub.conf but when I boot the menu doesn't appear. Just a black screen and, after 5 seconds (the defined timeout) Neon boots normally. If I hold down the right shift key, the menu is shown, but in a strange graphics/text mode. I tinkered a lot with the options on grub.conf, but can't get the menu without pressing the right shift key. Is there any way to get it as other distros can? Thanks a lot for your patience and help! |

You can show the GRUB boot menu by holding shift after the POST screen
But I cant actually tell what happened to your GRUB Try to reinstall GRUB or run the GRUB update command to see if anything changes ![]() |
