Global Menu behaving weird

Wed Mar 31, 2021 7:08 pm
Dear all,

I have just installed KDE NEON and come from Kubuntu.

I frequently use the global menu on my work laptop, it is, after all, way to easy and nice to not use ...
However, whenever I start chrome, global menu does not show...
Only after I minimise and maximise the browser does anything change ...

Does anyone know a way to change this? :-D

In Kubuntu only Firefox didn't work.

For PyCharm my fix is: deactivating native linux menu, activating and installing the JavaFX Env Plugin

Any help?

I just found sth. out:

As soon as I add kvantum with

Code: Select all
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:papirus/papirus
sudo apt update
sudo apt install qt5-style-kvantum qt5-style-kvantum-themes

and start modyfing the global menu gets this weird behavior again.

Any ideas?

edit: alright: I just changed some window settings (hiding title bar and redisplaying it) and the global menu behaves weird again ...

is there another fix than to setup my machine again?

solution for resetting kde neon:
