I've been using Neon for a few years now. I installed the LTS version. I was just reading about KDE abandoning LTS and switching to neon User Edition. This may sound strange, but I'm not sure what I'm running right now.

Looking at Kinfocenter, it shows that I am using the User Edition.

From Kinfocenter:

KDE neon 5.21
User Edition

KDE Plasma version 5.21.4
KDE Frameworks version 5.81.0
QT Version 5.15.2
Kernel Version 5.4.0-71 Generic

But. the uname command shows I have an Ubuntu kernel.

Also, looking in Discover, I see that I'm using Focal repositories..

I just got two large system upgrades recently and, I'm not sure what a full User Edition should look like (Kernel, repositories etc).... So am I running the User edition as shown in Kinfocenter, or do I need to do the transition as described here -> https://userbase.kde.org/Neon/LTS/EOL

You definitely don't seem to be, as the LTS version of Plasma would be 5.18.x not 5.21, which is current.

To double check and be sure, open your /etc/apt/sources.list.d/neon.list file and look to see what it says:

deb http://archive.neon.kde.org/user/ focal main
deb-src http://archive.neon.kde.org/user/ focal main

The above is for User.
if it were LTS, it would be https://archive.neon.kde.org/user/lts/

This is correct, Neon is Ubuntu 20.04, aka 'Focal Fossa'. Neon only provide Plasma and Qt on top of the 20.04 base.

Sounds strange that I don't know what version I have, but I installed Neon around 4 years ago (It's been my main desktop ever since).. It was so long ago, that I couldn't remember if I downloaded and installed the User or LTS Version.
