I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place, but recently I messed around with the KDE Menu Editor. I wanted Kate to be in two categories, Utilities and Development. This caused Kate to show up two times when I searched for it, so I deleted the entry in Development. It didn't fix anything, so I tried reinstalling Kate. Reinstalling Kate didn't do anything either. If I add a Kate entry in the Menu Editor it shows up in the Application Launcher again, but it still shows up two times when I search for it.

I'm not sure why this is happening, and I don't know how to fix it. I can't open files in Kate anymore because it doesn't show up in the "Choose Default Application" dialog.

I'm using KDE neon, if that's relevant.
