sddm.conf is empty

Fri May 07, 2021 9:05 pm
I'm trying to fix a bug which shows a giant virtual keyboard with certain custom welcome screens.
This is the screen I'm trying to use:
https://github.com/MarianArlt/sddm-sugar-light
Several forum posts have suggested a solution to modify the sddm.conf file in etc, but for me, the file is empty.
It has 0 B.
Why is the file empty and what can I do about it?

Yes this is normal. The conf is empty since /etc/sddm.conf.d/xxxx.conf is used.

Code: Select all
nano /etc/sddm.conf.d/kde_settings.conf

Code: Select all
[General]
HaltCommand=
InputMethod=
RebootCommand=

Important is the part "InputMethod=" with this entry it should work.
