Bug with calamares using BTRFS

Tue May 25, 2021 12:16 pm
Hi, with the last .iso i've noticed a bug, when you use UEFI and manual installation, if you create the fat32 partition flagged with boot option and /boot/efi mountpoint, if you use BTRFS file system for root, the installation has no success

The error is reported in the follow image: Image

(sorry for the photo, i've take at 2 AM in liveCD)

I initially thought about a bootloader problem, but this morning trying again i changed the FS for root, because the automatic installation works, the only difference is the file system for root, with the automatic installation the root is formatted in EXT4, but i've an NVME SSD and EXT4 isn't the best option for it.

Trying manual installation replacing btrfs with XFS, EXT4 and JFS for root file system, no error, complete the installation and start normally, with BTRFS no way to finish the installation, each time the above error shows up.

For the moment i'll use XFS for root, it's work pretty well.

Thanks

It seems to be related to this bug, which is already being worked on.
