Touchscreen, x86 tablet

Mon May 31, 2021 8:15 am
I've answer and created one topic regarding touchscreen in KDE Neon, but now I want to explore more using KDE Neon on fully touchscreen x86 device.

So far for me KDE Neon come up on the top, even better than Kubuntu. I exclude Gnome, because I think no fully touchscreen device will have large RAM capacity. I don't expect the touchscreen work in all program, but at least working in web browser, file browser and media player.

So anyone already try KDE Neon on any device that depend on touchscreen? Any tweak that will be usefull?

I'm in the process re-installing KDE Neon in Lenovo Miix 3320, an Intel Atom detachable laptop. My goal to make sure the device is usable as much as posible as x86 tablet device.
With the end goal, to own a recent and decent 11 inch x86 or ARM Linux tablet, only resort to keyboard or trackpad/mouse in the most necessary. Hopefully not even during installation or even grub.

I'll report the progress in next post.
