Hey guys, what is the KDE Neon Lifecycle? I read a while back that they were not using the LTS Ubuntu Image and that Upgrades would be more often in some manner, like a rolling distro or something? I just looked at the official site and see nothing in the FAQ's about it. Looks like they are following the LTS of Ubuntu now? I think they went back to that because of COVID? Remember that thing...uggg!
Thanks, pc |

Neon uses the current Ubuntu as a base, so 20.04 at the moment. A few months or so after the next LTS (22.04) is released, Neon will move to that. Always has been using the LTS, at least since 16.04.
it's Plasma is rolling, that is for sure. The OS part is not, with actual core OS upgrades happening every two years.
