as of yesterday with plasma-discover updated to

plasma-discover-backend-flatpak/focal,now 5.22.2.1-0xneon+20.04+focal+release+build31 amd64 [installed,automatic]
plasma-discover-backend-snap/focal,now 5.22.2.1-0xneon+20.04+focal+release+build31 amd64 [installed,automatic]
plasma-discover-common/focal,focal,focal,now 5.22.2.1-0xneon+20.04+focal+release+build31 all [installed,automatic]
plasma-discover/focal,now 5.22.2.1-0xneon+20.04+focal+release+build31 amd64 [installed]

it (plasma-discover) no longer works and kills the mouse and keyboard forcing me to 'push the big button'

When I run it the screen appears but then freezes and the mouse and keyboard freeze shortly there after

cli operations of apt and pkon seem to work OK .

I forgot to mention that I removed and re-installed it

And this morning the problem has gone away . You cant make this stuff up
