440 Login Time Out

Mon Aug 23, 2021 7:54 am
All of a sudden when I try to login to KDENeon (5.22) I get a white screen with '440 Login Time Out' at top left corner.

I tried the recovery mode but it made no difference. I was using Outlook when things went strange last night - the screen showed code in a new window at the bottom, then froze.

I can boot into a different distro without problems.

I'd be grateful for advice.

Re: 440 Login Time Out  Topic is solved

As is often the cases when I run into trouble, there was more than one issue responsible.

I'm posting here in case others find themselves with a similar problem.

First was that I was running two instances of Outlook webmail at the same time. I've no idea why I did this. Lack of concentration after a long day probably.

Second was that I managed to hide all the default stuff which is usually at the top of the Outlook mail screen. When I moved the cursor up to the top a menu appeared and I was able to 'un-hide' it. I do not know how the menu was lost. Maybe I touched some key, or maybe Outlook did it for me.....

Reading around this, it seems Outlook webmail is pretty buggy, especially in Linux.
