Disable netplan-ovs-cleanup.service

Thu Sep 09, 2021 5:45 pm
Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life! :)

Is it safe to disable netplan-ovs-cleanup.service? I mean, without impacting negatively in the system. Is it needed for anything? I searched the web and all I found was this https://netplan.io/ plus a few other threads, but I still don't have quite clear whether this is a necessary service that shouldn't be disabled. I check the service:
Code: Select all
moltke@neon:~$ systemctl list-dependencies netplan-ovs-cleanup.service
netplan-ovs-cleanup.service
● ├─ovsdb-server.service
● ├─system.slice
● └─network.target

and
Code: Select all
moltke@neon:~$ systemctl cat netplan-ovs-cleanup.service
# /run/systemd/system/netplan-ovs-cleanup.service
[Unit]
Description=OpenVSwitch configuration for cleanup
DefaultDependencies=no
Wants=ovsdb-server.service
After=ovsdb-server.service
ConditionFileIsExecutable=/usr/bin/ovs-vsctl
Before=network.target
Wants=network.target

[Service]
Type=oneshot
ExecStart=/usr/sbin/netplan apply --only-ovs-cleanup

So, I'm not sure if disabling it might break something. Any help is much appreciated. :)
