Hey all,
i've just updated to 5.23 and now when i hit the Windows Meta key to bring up the app menu to do an app search, it no longer selects the search box by default. And when i do manually select it to do an application search, it doesn't seem to work anymore??? I"ve removed .kde and .conf directories from ~ to reset the settings and it worked for a session then went back to not working. Any ideas? Cheers |

I think I have the same, or at least related problem: viewtopic.php?f=309&t=172978

Yup! exactly the same problem... Its very irritating as i've gotten so used to doing searches for the apps, i don't know that exact sections they are located in! If i come accross a solution i'll post! |

This worked for me:
Right Click on Panel Select Edit Panel Hover over Application Launcher Select Configure Select Keyboard Shortcuts in the left pane Click Input in the right pane Push Meta/Super/Windows Key +F1 Apply it The Meta Key will now open the Applications Launcher/Menu again. |

@davidhinkley Thanks. A very non-intuitive solution, but a solution! Works! Thanks again.

Glad I could help. I'd tried everything and since everyone kept unhelpfully suggesting that ALT+F1 would solve it (which it obviously does not!) I figured I'd try this and then just accept the situation if it fails.
