After upgrade to Dolphin 21.08.3 on KDE Neon, left clicking a file in Dolphin no longer opens the file in their default app. Instead, a new tab opens inside Dolphin wth the message "Folder is Empty". This happens regardless of the file extension: .txt, .png, .pdf, .docx, etc
I can still open files in their default app from Dolphin by right clicking and selecting "Open with ...", but this is laborious. I couldn't finding a setting in "Configure Dolphin" to restore the previous behavior. Can anyone help? |

Left click works as expected in Konqueror (i.e. plain text files open in Kate, PDFs open in Okular, etc.). The problem described above only happens in Dolphin.

This sounds like n incomplete installation, moving this to the Neon sub-forum
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

The left click problem described above occurs in Dolphin and in Recoll. Attempting to open a file with a left click from either application results in a new tab opening in Dolphin with the message "Folder is Empty". However, in Konqueror, left clicking results in launching of the default application for that file as expected.
The problem persists even after installing the latest system upgrade using Discover.
