Did someone make a bad build?
Or am I the only one suffering from this?

My last successful Discover update was on November 11.
Today December 5 updating Neon Testing fails:

Discover updates:
Cannot remove system package: You are trying to remove the following essential packages: neon-desktop breeze etc.
Code: Select all
pkcon refresh
pkcon -v update
Fatal error: The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  libkwinglutils13: Depends: libqt5gui5 (>= 5.15.2+p20.04+tunstable+git20211125.0220) but 5.15.2+p20.04+tunstable+git20211108.1805-0 is to be installed

Code: Select all
apt-cache policy libqt5gui5
libqt5gui5:
  Installed: 5.15.2+p20.04+tunstable+git20211108.1805-0
  Candidate: 5.15.2+p20.04+tunstable+git20211204.0212-0
so 5.15.2+p20.04+tunstable+git20211108.1805-0 is already installed
Code: Select all
sudo apt install libqt5gui5=5.15.2+p20.04+tunstable+git20211204.0212-0
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 libqt5gui5 : Depends: libmd4c0 (>= 0.4.8) but 0.4.3-1 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Code: Select all
sudo apt install libmd4c0
libmd4c0 is already the newest version (0.4.3-1).

Is this unmet dependency libmd4c0 (>= 0.4.8 ) the reason why Discover and 'pkcon -v update' fail? Who is to provide this libmd4c0 ? repo Neon Testing or Ubuntu 20.04?

[SOLVED] :)
I felt adventurous and I installed libmd4c0 from Debian Sid (downloaded it from https://debian.pkgs.org/sid/debian-main ... 4.deb.html )
I have no idea if a debian sid libmd4C0 can cause problems on a ubuntu 20.04.
Code: Select all
sudo apt install ./libmd4c0_0.4.8-1_amd64.deb
pkcon refresh
pkcon -v update  : no error but I said no to use Discover
Discover updates: yes, updating succeeded!
After reboot there were also new flatpak gnome and kde platform packages which I also installed.

Sorry about this, Qt got a new md4c dependency but it wasn't compiled in testing. I've added that in now and upgrade seems to work ok.
