Not sure if this is a Neon specific issue or if it exists in KDE mainstream, however it's starting to get really annoying.

I have a dual monitor system - 1xHD, 1x4K, and have a specific window layout I use on a daily basis. My machines are never powered down, however the screen blank timeout is set, and the monitors do power themselves down after some time.

In most cases, when I power up the monitors, re-login my windows are in a different place on the screens forcing me to re-arrange things to suit.

Is there a flag somewhere in the settings I've missed or perhaps a plugin I can add to the system to ensure that windows retain their position correctly?

Many thanks.

I too have this same issue. It started after switching to an AMD GPU (6700xt) from Nvidia. Never had the issue with Nvidia (GTX1060).

I haven't found any great information on this yet, and this thread is quite old.

Did you find any answers, or do any further troubleshooting?
