Hello,
My system is up-to-date. I am using Kde neon and Firefox can't print. When I try, nothing happen, the document doesn't even appear in print list. Surpringly, I can't print neither with LibreWolf (a Firefox derivative), but I can print using Chromium without problem. I tried to rename my .mozilla folder without success. Thank you! |

This is an on going issue . It didn't work , then it worked , then it went back to not working . I either print to pdf (from Firefox) and then print that from Okular or use Chrome .

I tried installing Firefox with Flathub or Snap from Discover and I still have issue.
Is there a way to install a previous Firefox version? I searched on forum without success. Thank you. |

Can't confirm here - at least printing to pdf works. No printers to test "real" printing... KDE Neon User Edition |

What it works too is to install firefox from binaries in the local folder

Hi !
Same problem when I download files sometimes it works sometimes not... (I don't have this problem in other distros) I tried with and without "Plasma Integration" plugin for Firefox, same problem. Sometimes, when opening PDF files inside FF (pdf.js), I can't save PDF, I had to print it as a PDF file ! This mainly happens when I try to download in another folder and I move download dialog box. This should be explained if FF was installed as a Flatpck or Snap but it's installed from ubuntu repository (focal) |

Hello, (and happy new year to all and happy first post to myself)
this is not a satisfying solution, as I don’t know what are the side effects, but adding the firefox-next ppa, and upgrading to Firefox 96 solved this specific issue on my side (I’m also using KDE Neon) https://www.ubuntuupdates.org/ppa/mozil ... dist=focal Not sure If I should now deactivate the PPA to avoid an update everyday… |

You could try: Firefox>hamburger menu>help>more troubleshooting info>scroll down to the printing section. Reload the "clear saved settings" if you made any changes.
It looks like this. Do not set the settings as they are in the screenshot, they're set by my personal user.js for a heavily modified firefox !! https://imgur.com/a/r5C5mEd

I just checked. Although, on my setup, both Librewolf and Firefox have the same arkenfox user.js, the same containment and ublock addons, the same additional privacy/security settings, the same userChrome.css, Librewolf's print settings are completely empty (see that pdf which was printed with librewolf btw).
https://imgur.com/a/9quDgqV Ps: You know, I started using Firefox on linux about fifteen years ago. I think it's fair to say that printing with it has ALWAYS been an issue. I think that around 2020, they finally managed to get it....uhm...better.
