For me, libreoffice just does not install properly from the flatpak.
There are a lot of issues with it. [*]You need to install the Libreoffice KDE integration package for it to look properly [*]If using the global menu, the menu bar is shown in libreoffice and 2! times in the global menu [*]The text of the rulers is not readable because the text is light grey on a white / grey background I understand that libreoffice is not included as standard, but I do believe it should be easily to install without this many issues that the ubuntu/debian package does not have. There is also no deb package available in discover to install and if it is installed from the terminal with
The snap package is too slow to start. So at the moment, there is no easy and proper way to install libreoffice on kde neon. I believe that it is the most used office in linux, so for people without a lot of knowledge to have a good experience in kde neon, it should be fixed imo. |

I find Discover a bit limiting so use Muon instead. you can install Muon from Discover.
From Muon the top entry for LibreOffice - is a metapackage which installs the whole suite and then just install libreoffice-kde |

In any case, even installing Libreoffice from native packaging still requires installing Plasma integration packages, and as LO does its own things in terms of look and feel, colors, icon sets, you still need to change those from within LO settings, not from System Settings.
Ubuntu's main Libreoffice package seems to be missing the metadata for their package, required to be seen in app stores like Discover. Maybe because it is included in an Ubuntu install by default? Unfortunately, the packages don't have any idea which desktop the user is running. There are also Gtk integration packages that need to be installed for similar integration with other desktops. if you have a more minimal install of Ubuntu, or Kubuntu, installing just 'libreoffice' there won't automatically install the integration bits, either. it really is an issue with Libreoffice. Every distro has to deal with this, and they all do so using the integration components provided by LO. And, as KDE Neon, which is not a full-on distro, only cares about KDE and Plasma things, Libreoffice is something that they don't provide packages for, or maintain themselves.

Yes, Libreoffice works also fine on Neon. What packages should be installed? Have a look at my neon installer and pick alle the libreoffice packages, or use the whole script. You can change everything what you would like: https://git.osit.cc/public-projects/kde-neon-installer
