OS: KDE neon stable
KDE versions: Plasma 23.5 / Frameworks 5.90 / Qt 5.15.3
Kernel 5.13.0-25-generic
Graphics: X11 on an old NVIDIA card

After this latest update to 23.5, the thin white lines in the menu widgets "Application Dashboard" and "Application Menu" have turned into white blocks. A picture is worth a thousand words, so here they are. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi,

I had exactly the same, but with 5.23.4

I can't see it in 5.23.5

But now the shadow of the taskbar is a kind of weird.

It's at the top and at the bottom... I hope it will vanish like the 'madness' before.

The fix, courtesy of the KDE subreddit -- https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/qwbnmv/various_ui_bugs_since_plasma_5233/ -- is to do the following from the command line:
Code: Select all
rm ~/.cache/*plasma*; killall plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell

The bars are now back to being lines.
