I have a Brother HL2035 laser printer connected to my router on port 192.168.1.1:631. It works fine with Windows but I have been unable to get it working with KDE Neon. When I print a test page, it produces the message "Use 'pdftops-renderer' option (see cups-filter README) to use Ghostscript or MuPDF for the PDF -> PostScript conversion."

I'm afraid this message has not been helpful. I have looked for but not found the README, and for the pdftops-renderer option in every place I can think of. I have installed and tried the ghostscript-printer-app from the Snap store without success, although the error was different: permission denied. And I have installed MuPDF though the Muon package manager (as it was not found in Discover) but that has not made a difference.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I guess this is probably more helpful: https://www.openprinting.org/printer/Br ... er-HL-2035

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
