I'm having a world of issues with KDE Neon on my laptop now that have been going on for the last few weeks. An update somewhere has broken things it seems.
I'm running under wayland, and applications that I had installed through Discover (slack, discord, keepassx) have vanished from the start menu, don't show up when I search for them, but are launchable from Discover when I follow the link "get discord" and press the launch button. I can't pin these applications either (the pin item is greyed out). I've had to re-install libreoffice from the .tgz files as well as it was also playing up, but there are issues with that install as well in that the menu text is so small on this 4K monitor that its not usable (it doesn't seem to be honoring the screen zooming). The system is Operating System: KDE neon 5.24 KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.91.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.13.0-35-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × Intel® Core™ i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz Memory: 15.3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 630 Any ideas how to sort this out? Ta Peter. |
