If I want to create a new user to my Linux system with UID and GID values of 1234, then I could do it with the command
Code: Select all
sudo useradd exampleuser -u 1234 -g 1234

Is it okay to create a new user in KDE Neon this way in command prompt or should new users be created in Settings? Will some Plasma-specific feature be missing if I create a new user from the command prompt?

Hi!

As long as you use ids above 1000 everything should work as expected. If you want to create users with ids below 1000 you have to change some settings to have them correctly displayed in e.g. SDDM.
