Hi, everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life! :)

I launched konsole and typed
Code: Select all
upgrade (alias for sudo pkcon refresh && sudo pkcon update)
and this is what I got:
Code: Select all

moltke@neon:~$ upgrade

Do you want to allow installing of unsigned software? [N/y] N

The unsigned software will not be installed.
                              [=========================]
Fatal error: user declined interaction
moltke@neon:~$

At first, I typed N and got the Fatal error message, then I tried again by typing y but it got stuck in a refresh/download loop, to then ask again the same thing.
So, I just typed N, copied the whole thing, came here and made this post. I've no idea what this is about.

Pkcon is bad at showing us full error messages when it runs Apt to install things.

This most likely from a software repo you added, but did not also add the signing key - or it has a missing/broken key.

The easiest way to find out which one, if you are not sure, is to run :

Code: Select all
sudo apt update

This may give you the full error message missing from pkcon. If not, then run:

Code: Select all
sudo apt full-upgrade

And look for the error messages there.

The messaging should give us enough info to fix this.

Thank you! With your help, I managed to fix it. ;D
Thing is, I'd installed sidekick browser just to see what it had to offer, didn't impress me by the way. I use Chrome and Firefox. So, following your suggestion I ran
Code: Select all
sudo apt update
and found out that the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/sidekick-browser.list was the one causing this issue since it points to deb [arch=amd64] https://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main and so does the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-chrome-beta.list. I removed sidekick-browser, and commented the repo in that file. Now, everything works as expected. :)
