Hi,

I cant install the later linux kernels due to a libc outdated error and is uninstallable whilst on 20.04.

I've tried the custom kernel from

https://launchpad.net/~tuxinvader/+arch ... s-mainline

and it installs but when i reboot i get no usb keyboard or mouse

Is it just a case of suck it up until kde neon jumps to 21.04 or find a different distro?

The mainline kernels are built to require the new libc, so they won't install on *anything* based on 20.04, so yes, you will have to wait till Neon migrates to 22.04 (soon-ish, but no ETA at all) or Ubuntu push the 5.15 to LTS releases, whichever comes first.

Is a newer kernel necessary?

If so, you could use a different set of kernel builds, such as Xanmod or Liquorix.
