Black Screen while booting

Mon Jul 04, 2022 11:37 am
Hello,

one week ago I installed KDE neon user edition on my laptop and configured it. The very most things worked fine, but today I installed the newest updates and now I get a black screen instead of the login screen, when I try to boot.
I already read these hints and with the keyword "nomodeset" I was able to get the login screen again and start my system. There I got a message, that I should start with another kernel or update graphics drivers. I tried to update via Discover via pkcon and via apt, but there are no updates available. The command "sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall" yields "No drivers found for installation".

This tutorial says, I could make the nomodeset permanent, but it doesn't like a good idea to me, although I'm not sure about that.

Kernel-Version: 5.13.0-52-generic
Processor: 12 x Intel Core i7-9750H CPU @2,6GHz
Graphics Processor: llvmpipe

I use a Tuxedo Laptop without dedicated graphic card. I'm not sure, which informations could also be useful and where to get them.

What could I do to prevent the black screen?

Regards,
Sebastian
