I'm confused. My system states "KDE neon User - 5.25". I found this: https://community.kde.org/Neon/UserEdition/5.6 Is there a way to get from 5.23 to 5.6 without a reinstall and what is the real current version of neon?

Please note that the announcement you linked is from 2016 (it says in the footer). The latest version of KDE Plasma is 5.25.

Also, it is worth mentioning that sub version numbers in KDE do not have a leading zero, this means version 5.6 would be equivalent to "5.06".
