Changing recommended image writer

Sun Oct 23, 2022 5:41 am
Currently, ROSA Image Writer is a recommended image writer for KDE neon. (There is a link in the KDE neon download page)
However, I checked the source repository of ROSA Image Writer ( https://abf.io/soft/rosa-imagewriter ) and found it is not maintained since 6 years ago.

How about recommending another image writer?
For example, how about Balena Etcher which is used in Ubuntu's installation tutorial ( https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/install-ub ... -usb-stick )?

One day I'll get a release of isoimagewriter made and that should solve most of the use cases.

Thanks for the reply.

Is isoimagewriter cross platform?
I guess image writer has to support at least Windows and Linux so that Windows users can migrate from Windows to KDE neon. (Currently, I think Mac is nice to have because maybe KDE neon doesn't work on M1 Mac.)
