I just upgraded to 22.04. Now, when I turn my laptop on, there is text in the top-left corner saying: "Reset System", before it turns off. It then turns on again, only to do the same thing. Any help?
Specs: Acer Aspire E5-575 Plasma 5.26, based on Ubuntu 22.04 |

I got the same issue today when I turned on my PC.
Though I didn't update to 22.04. I just did a normal update a few day ago. I did do a full system backup a few days ago before I updated the system and have now restored it from the backup and it is working fine.

I decided to see if I was able to reproduce this problem.
I did a full system update on a laptop that I installed KDE neon on about 3 months using the most recent ISO of the user build at the time. The update went fine and I was able to restart the system a few times without any issues. So then I decided to install just the system upgrade on my affected system after I had done a full system restore and bingo. The same error happened. Below is a screenshot of the update that caused the issue(boot loop) https://postimg.cc/PLHdrQtm

I believe I have now worked out the problem and have a solution.
In the BIOS disable SGX(Intel Software Guard Extensions) No more boot loop issue |

Another PC also needed the TPM(Trusted Platform Module) set to hidden instead of available as-well as SGX turned off.
Probably a good idea to update the BIOS. |

Hi guys,
I faced the same issue and didn't find solution for this problem. What I've managed to find is: My system boot successfully after update but, when I run
I'm receiving this error.
When I fixed the problem with release key, I got a message that two packages can be upgraded.
After installing this two packages my system endup in the boot loop which I do not know how to fix. Downgrading the packages didn't fix the problem. One more point I think important to mentioned is that this packages are only highlighted to be upgraded when I run apt command in the terminal. Discover doesn't see them. Any idea why this two packages breaking the system. PS. I've checked the bios of my laptop and I do not have an option for "Intel Software Guard Extension" or "Trusted Platform Module". |
