I saw the upgrade notification of neon to 22.04 and now I wanna upgrade. I installed all updates, restarted my system and then clicked on the upgrade button.
But I allways get an error: and then:
What to do? |

Hi there,
I also did get the same error message when I was trying to upgrade, but tried again within a few hours, and it worked and upgraded without an issue. So trying again in a different time might work for you as well. Though I have very little technical knowledge to know why exactly this happens, but I'm guessing that it might happen when a background service is locking certain parts of the root file system, could be related to packagekit; but I might be wrong. |

Well, I tried it yesterday 8 times on 5 different times of the day, even with 3x reboot. And today I tried it two times as well. Same problem/error

I had the same problem.
I solve it by manually disabling some source of packages via discover. |

Im also having this same problem but "disabling some apps in discover" is really, really vague, what apps? I have no idea how to reproduce that solution.

I have upgraded now, by disabling more or less all none Neon Sources. Be very carefully, I had some issues with PPA's i have used. I solved it by `pkcon repair`

I had the same problem, it was an erroneous python 3.10 installation what caused it in my case.
Uninstalling python3.10 and running sudo apt autoremove solved it for me. Can you share what your log file in /var/log/dist-upgrade? |
