I have used and loved KDE Neon for years.
Now it is time for a new laptop. Just got an HP Spectre X360 (2022) laptop with Intel 12th Gen stuff in it. Intel has stated in their forums that there is an issue with the AX411 WiFi on Linux Kernels < v5.17 The WiFi simply would not work for me on the current "User Edition" release of KDE Neon as it is Kernel v5.15 What to do? Do I put it back into a box until KDE Neon gets its kernels up to at least v5.17 ? Or should I just go with a different distro ? I have tested Kubuntu 22.10 with its' v5.19 kernel - and the WiFi works. However, It will not install from a USB stick - am getting input/output errors, as many others are reporting on the internet... |

Run a mainline kernel (https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/). There is a gui @ https://github.com/bkw777/mainline which is packaged as a deb at https://code.launchpad.net/~cappelikan/ ... ubuntu/ppa
