Hello,
I have an Nvidia GTX 960M graphics card. I want to install its driver, every time I try to "sudo ubuntu-drivers install" the system crashes and I have to reinstall the OS and then I had to install another Linux distro but I love KDE Neon and want to use it. I ask for your help, thanks |

Hi everybody.
This guy asked perfectly valid question and everybody seems to ignore him. I have same problem. Don't want to run nouveau driver and there is no official tutorial how to do it. Will anyone from KDE neon post supported/preferred/tested way to install proprietary nvidia drivers? |

Since we are using Ubuntu, it is 100% it is the same as there, using the command line. There are about 6543 different how-tos on that. There is no 'neon' or 'KDE' way for doing this.
The [https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia#Installation_without_X_.2F_from_the_console]official documentation[/url] is always a good place to start. There are slightly different ways to do it, all are essentially the same. https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/ubuntu-li ... ry-driver/ One could even install Kubuntu/Lubuntu's Software Sources tool (software-properties-qt), find it in Discovers settings, and use the Driver Manager.
