Bluetooth fails to auto-reconnect in KDE Neon

I am used to using KDE on Manjaro. I have re-purposed a machine to use as an HTPC. It is running KDE Neon fully up to date. I have paired and connected a bluetooth keyboard and BT Mouse. However they do not reconnect on a restart. If I try and manually reconnect I get the following error "br-connection-create-socket".

I have found other threads on the web that have a similar problem but they seem mostly related to audio and none of the solutions I have tried so far have worked.
