I run pkcon update from time to time and this morning I get a host of problems starting with:
Using apt distupgrade proposes removing a ton of KDE apps that is clearly not a good answer so I did not do that.
and similar output for libkf5widgetaddons5. Doing an apt update does not fix anything. Tried holding the packages at their current level, but that didn't do much for me either. |

Hi ! Same here !
Didn't pay attention actually and I made a dist-upgrade, ahah ! I reinstalled a few essential packages but have a few issues left For instance, the Network manager doesn't access the KDE Wallet anymore, I cannot install quite a few apps like Gwenview etc I should have been more careful Edit : fixed via : sudo pkcon install libqt5gui5 libharfbuzz0b sudo pkcon update |

Interesting. Removing those two packages also removed some .i386 gstream/libass /libpango stuff that was from an attempt to install Wine32. But you are right. After pulling those two packages and letting it remove the .i386 dependants, the normal upgrade worked great. Thanks!

Two days waiting for fix and nothing. I can imagine the number of broken neon installations because of these dependencies errors.
Poor people like me that needs i386 library and want to keep the rest of system updated. Fingers crossed waiting for some developer love.. . |

After installing today's neon-settings-2 package, apt will attempt to roll back harfbuzz packages, but will also want to remove hplip and other packages along the way. I have posted a solution here: viewtopic.php?f=309&t=176375&p=461499#p461499

Well, since last week, when the update was trying to remove a lot of i386 packages, I did not upgrade my neon. Fortunately, today's update solved the conflicts and I've got all upgraded smoothly. Thank's for the maintainers!! |
