Folks,
I've got a Pi 4 with the official Raspberry Pi 7 inch touchscreen display, with Ubuntu-mate, and kstars. Many kstars dialog boxes were cut off at the bottom. I got the source code for kstars 3.5.3 beta, and used Qt Designer to add scroll areas to the various dialog boxes I need (mainly Ekos). I also specify the max size of 800x400 for these dialogs in Qt Desginer. I'm thinking that other folks might want to run kstars with this display. Perhaps the program could sense small displays when it starts up. I realize that several applications for Ubuntu-mate also assume larger displays. I have not found anything that I can't do from the command line for those things. Would you consider making kstars tolerant of small displays? All I had to do to achieve this was at QScrollArea to the various .ui files. Steve |
