This wallpaper is very much in the spirit of the older Plasma wallpapers! However it feels like there is a bit too much contrast between the center element and its background, so the foreground sticks out and draws all your attention to it. I might recommend making the background a little bit brighter, and the center foreground a little bit darker. Also, I wonder if the foreground isn't quite big enough. Right now it's framed in the middle of the image; if it were large enough to go off the edges of the canvas a bit, that might improve the visual appeal. Making it a bit more off-center could have a similar effect too.

That was my intention. I'm glad it came through.
Having used this background on an older laptop fora few days, I have to agree. The bottom part of the foreground contrasts way too much.
I've been playing with some ideas, and I think rotating it anticlockwise about 70-90 degrees and enlarging it a bit is the nicest. I'll try to put together a v2 over the weekend with these changes, and a plasma mobile version. |
