Flat Breeze

Wed May 22, 2019 8:15 pm
Hi folks! After seen so many good wallpapers I kind of got shy to even try but I had this idea for a Plasma wallpaper for a while and thought this would be a good time to share with the community, so here goes nothing ;D

Image

After many variations in colors I decided these three as an entry, the full res are at OpenDesktop (in a set with other three I didn't choose for submission). Please let me know what you think! :)

Edit: third picture replaced, also included at the link above on OpenDesktop.

Cool see what you did with the shapes! I know you were going for flat, but on the whole though we'd want a bit more detail in the wallpapers if possible - that would be my advice.

Thank you very much for the comment and advice! ^-^

I got to admit I went for very a simplistic approach here, I try to avoid 3d-ish feel, mostly because the possibility of "banding" in gradients kind of worries me as I'm not sure how it will look on others peoples monitors. I'm also aware of one side been "empty", I guess I'm bias for those who like me uses conky and the like :D.

Once again, thank you for the kind advice, I'm not sure what kind of detail I should incorporate into, but definitely would try something, (hopefully before the deadline) :)

After Flipwise advice, I gave texture and blur a go to see if I can bring some detail into the design. Thus switch the my third entry (dark/blue) for the new image. :)

Woah third one is beautiful and modern! I totally dig it. I hope it wins or at least will be included.
Uploading them to opendesktop.org was a good idea because people can easily download it from Discover or Get New Wallpapers dialog.
Although I usually don't like abstract wallpapers, I might set this as my wallpaper.
Thanks!

Thank you very much for the kind words! ^-^

With all the good entries here I'm not sure if I have a chance, but regardless, knowing that people uses and enjoy my wallpapers makes my day a very happy one! :)
