Great, but could you make the cyan on the top and bottom quite a bit darker?

It would also be nice if you could swap the color logic to be dark on the outside and cyan inside.

Update:
ALTUM https://ibb.co/FmrCJHk I made the colors a bit more subdued. I'll edit the original post as well. @GB_2 Sadly, reversing the colors would require a re-render and it would take too long on my PC to finish before competition ends. |

The panel of judges has decided to do a quick second round with our favorites, and I have congratulations to offer: Altum has been chosen as a finalist! In the next 2 days, we would like to help you polish up your wallpaper, and to that effect we have some detailed feedback:
- Since you now have a bit more time (2 days) try inverting the color logic, making the foreground dark with a colorful cyan bolt through it - Make these kinds of corners beveled rather than sharp on the outside: https://i.imgur.com/34GbPEE.png |

Ok, I made the suggested changes:
5k: https://ibb.co/wCjGgTK Is the brightness/contrast ok? I'm still experimenting with some details so feel free to suggest anything. |

Wow I just love the new background colors! However the now greenish bolt through the center isn't doing it so much for me. But I feel like the original dark bolt would look stunning with the new background colors. What do you think?

Come to think of it, that would make it a lot like Onyx. I bet Onyx would look amazing with these background colors too.

I think you're right. The bolt came out too green. Made some changes to make it more cyan. Also, I improved some bevels and made some workflow changes so that I can change the colors without re-render. I'm posting three variants for now. I would appreciate some feedback. In the meantime I'll tinker with the Onyx. A - more cyan bolt 5k: https://ibb.co/9Y7C14p B - colors closer to the original bolt 5k: https://ibb.co/cXX86Mx C - dark blue variant 5k: https://ibb.co/2jqM37h |

Magnificent! B is my favorite.
Is there any way you can reduce the file size without losing quality? It's 10.5 MB which is rather large. |

Oh and two more things:
- Which version of CC-BY-SA? - We will need your real name and email address for attribution purposes. |

I tried to optimize the size and the best lossless compression I could manage is around 9.5MB. 5K resolution and smooth transitions are making it hard to do. I wouldn't want to introduce any banding with lossy compression but if it is necessary I'll try.
I also modified the blue version a bit. Would "Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0)" be ok? Or would "CC BY 4.0" be preferable? I'm not good with licenses and I don't want to potentially restrict KDE team.
