Hey, I found this community, as well as the desktop environment few weeks ago and I'm starting to enjoy. I designed the wallpaper in Figma and I hope this is not an issue, because I can export it as SVG, PDF or even to share the file remotely. I chose Figma because is the app I'm used to and it would not be enough time to experiment with Krita or Inkscape, Blender even less.
For this visual, I used an image as reference, which I can provide.
I was inspired by the first wallpaper of the KDE (Canopee, sorry for no accent on e), that I found it is a also a place with a very cool bridge. In my wallpaper I draw a road on mountain from my country, more specific Transfagarasan from Romania. The shape of the road is seen from above and is as close as possible to the original/real one.
From technical point of view, I create a component with the star shape (trees) and a path for the road, then duplicated the tree instance as many times I need. I designed the visual on a lower size, at 1024x576 and exported it at 5120x2880 (because everything is a vector, even the lighting and colors).
