One suggestion though: make the green of the grass paler. It is too much contrast compared to the sea. Also make it more uniform. The contrasty green-black busy part doesn’t play well with icons in front of it, and most people have their icons on the left or at the top. These parts have to be somewhat more uniform and less cluttered. 1-2 lines of contrast are fine, but having many small elements (like the black parts and green parts) there is a usability flaw.
That's a thing I didn't consider as I don't use the Folder View layout. So I changed to that and dragged a few icons in there, and although I don't think it's that bad, I can understand what you're saying:
So the first thing that came to mind, was an easy solution: just flip the image. But I don't like how it changes the perspective. I also thought of adding some blur, but nah... so I will implement your suggestions. Tomorrow though. I think reducing the contrast in the grass will be enough.
